AGBU Hye Geen has been organizing lectures and conferences for the Armenian diaspora to learn about social and cultural issues affecting Armenian Americans. These forums bring together researchers, educators, professionals and community groups. Every year, the group strives to cover new topics that entice and impact the community. Past conferences and lectures have focused on a variety of topics including media, television, mental health, women’s issues, music, symbolism in art, cuisine, parenting in the digital age, and higher education. Moreover, to actively engage the youth, AGBU Hye Geen routinely partners with Armenian American college students in Los Angeles.
The conferences are generally held in the Pasadena / Burbank area.
